Meet our Cre8tive Kids Campus Directors

TERESA AND TAMMY THE DIRECTORS OF OUR CRE8TIVE KIDS CAMPUS

TERESA AND TAMMY THE DIRECTORS OF OUR CRE8TIVE KIDS CAMPUS

Teresa, pictured on the left, is the Director of our newly opened preschool/daycare, Cre8tive Kids Campus. She has been working in education for 19 years (and counting)! She has worked with all different age groups, and has a great deal of experience in education administration. She strongly believes that all children who attend preschool will be better prepared for Kindergarten and Elementary school, and with the assistance of other educators at Cre8tive Kids Campus (or CKC for short), Teresa has brought a very modern approach to pre-k learning. Several lessons in the CKC curriculum are taught using iPads and Apple TV, which is meant to engage and stimulate students using modern popular technology.

Teresa's favorite part about being the CKC director is being around kids. She loves watching them grow and progress, knowing that she helped in their success. Her favorite thing about children is how loving they are, and how fun they are to work with. And last but not least, her favorite thing about Cre8tive Kids Campus is...the staff! She says she is happy to be working with such an amazing group of people, and she can't wait to watch the school grow and thrive thanks to the big hearts that make it happen.

Tammy, pictured on the right, is the CKC Assistant Director. She has been a pre-k teacher for more than 10 years, and has a strong passion for working with kids. She says her favorite thing about teaching is watching kids learn when they don't even realize they are learning. She feels accomplished seeing a child leave school with a smile on their face, knowing that they had fun while moving forward in their education. She enjoys teaching pre-k children because of how quickly they learn and apply things to their life. She lives to see that “Aha!” look on a student's face. She says that seeing a child with that sudden look of clarity after she's taught them something is what it's all about.

What Tammy loves the most about the Cre8tive Kids Campus is that it's a Christian based preschool with a loving and friendly environment. She is excited and proud about being a part of a school that incorporates technology into the teaching, yet still uses traditional teaching methods to better prepare the students for Kindergarten, and far beyond. Most of all, she is thrilled to work at Cre8tive Kids Campus because she is confident that it's a program that can make a sincere, positive difference in the lives of the children who attend.

Using Your Grace

Using Your Grace

"...God said, 'I have found David son of Jesse, a man after my own heart. He will do everything I want him to do.'" Acts 13:22

Notice it said everything in that passage... What is the everything that God has placed on your heart, the dreams, the gifts, the abilities? The dreams you wake up with and go to sleep thinking about?

What are the things God has called you to do, it's deep in your heart, the thing that makes you who you are. Maybe it's playing an instrument, making films, painting, building things or maybe it's as simple as just loving and helping people. There's a seed God has planted into each and every one of us to steward and to take care of to use for his glory.

"Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms." 1 Peter 4:10

Whatever gift you have, use that grace he's given you in whatever area to build his church and lift up the name of Jesus. If you have the gift of singing sing, if you have the gift of building build, if you have the gift of being good with kids be apart of the children's ministry, if you want to be apart of the TV team and learn to help broadcast the gospel across the planet use that desire. Use your gifts and desires in you, step out and ask to volunteer and serve with everything that God has placed on your heart.

I pray that everyday in our church that we'd be men & women after God's own heart and truly seek to do anything and everything we can with our gifts and abilities to build his church and make his name great and see his kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven. I pray that we'd have a flourishing church that fulfills the desires and gifts within people while simultaneously leading others to Jesus. You were blessed to BE a blessing!

"You’re no longer wandering exiles. This kingdom of faith is now your home country. You’re no longer strangers or outsiders. You belong here, with as much right to the name Christian as anyone. God is building a home. He’s using us all—irrespective of how we got here—in what he is building. He used the apostles and prophets for the foundation. Now he’s using you, fitting you in brick by brick, stone by stone, with Christ Jesus as the cornerstone that holds all the parts together. We see it taking shape day after day—a holy temple built by God, all of us built into it, a temple in which God is quite at home."

Videos Synced with Stereo Backing Tracks

Firstly my name is Vincent, I head the worship team and oversee video production in our church.

Recently within the last year we started running stereo backing tracks at church through mainstage. We have an Audio Interface outputting 3 channels of audio, One Stereo Track left & right, and 1 channel with Click & Song Guide combined being outputted separately to the sound board and through our aviom in-ears. In Mainstage we have the tracks grouped together in playback and cued with a single button on a midi controller. Now that's just if we're running tracks without video.

Now onto adding video to equation. We use software called QLab, this thing is absolutely the best. We sync the video up in Adobe Premiere to our backing tracks to ensure things will sync up in QLab correctly. We export the video without audio and import it into QLab just in case we want to interchange keys for different worship leaders. We import the Stereo Track, then the Click with Guide into QLab separate and route them through the same audio outputs that we'd use if we were just running audio in mainstage. Then once we get that all set up then we set the video and all audio tracks to be cued by a midi note on a controller and bam there you go video synced with music. By the way all this is being run on stage by our keyboard player.

To output video from the iMac we have a thunderbolt to HDMI converter on stage and set the video to outputted to pretty much a secondary monitor that is the camera switcher. Theres a lot of tutorials on QLab & Mainstage but knowing the software name is 90% of the battle. I hope this helps you, your church, band, or whatever else you have going on.

Lastly I truly believe that if we have information that is useful or helpful and has been a labor to find, we should share it and make it more accessible for other churches or just people willing to learn about something. I heard this somewhere and it may even be a scripture somewhere but I loved it, "God's house should be the best because our God is the best." I live by that thought day after day and I believe if we have information that can help make THE church as a whole the best it can be why not share a little bit of useful information that was stumbled on.
